FAIL

Seen on a bumper sticker -

I'd rather be a smart ass then a dumb ass like you.

The whole irony of the fact that this particular sentence has that horrid spelling issue in the middle of it just cracked me up. I would love to be the smartass pointing out to the owner of said bumper sticker that it needs to be "than" and not "then". Talk about looking like a dumbass.

Awesome FAIL.

Maybe it was supposed to be ironic?

Maybe it was a sequential request with a punctuation error??

With enough electroshock therapy, anyone can be a smart ass, and then a dumb ass.

When did "then" start being used instead of "than?" I'd never seen it that way before I started reading blog comments. It is like biting down on a tiny hard thing in my mashed potatoes. It doesn't permanently hurt anything, but it does give me pause.

I saw a forum post, which had been edited. The reason? "Grammer." No kidding. I roffled.
